As part of my studies, I need to grab a passage of dialogue and edit it so that it translates into an English idiom or dialect, such as Cockney, Australian Strine or southern American. My family are English (but I am Australian), and I have a special fondness for the Cornish accent in the UK. Any advice on the way in which words such as 'you' and 'your' might be written? I have used 'yer' for both, but someone may be able to shed some light on how words may be pronounced and written in Cornwall. Would the 'g' in 'wondering' be dropped also?? I need to convince the reader that the person has a particular accent - easy when spoken, but not in writing!
Any constructive help would be greatly appreciated :-)
