Collocations to express "the ... of something"-of/to/for

Hi:

First, thanks in advance for your help!

I often come across problems when I want to express the meaning of "the ... of something" especially when I am not sure which preposition should be used or both are ok (For my mother tongue, Chinese, it has only one way to express the meaning, namely the... of something). In English, there are several ways to express the same Chinese word "of", such as "of" itself, "to" and "for" etc.

Now I would like to list all the possible combinations that I can think of. So please kindly proofread them and indicate if there are other ways (propositions) to express the same meaning, if available. And if there are any mistakes, please don't hesitate to point out. If time permits, please add some other correct collocations to each group, if possible. Thanks!

Group I: "of" the easiest one group, nearly most words except some particular words in group 2 or 3 can go with it.

Group 2: "to" e.g. the key to the door; the answer to the question; the solution to the problem. etc

Group 3: "for" e.g. the commercial invoice for the product; the contractions for the words, the tickets for the concert (please add some other possible combinations, if available.)

My current urgent question (in international business email communications):

1. the testing results of the material (product)

2. the testing results for the material

Which one is correct or both correct.

Thanks again!
