Collision/vocal melody

Hello

1. I wanted to write my own song. I suppose the process was really finding a collision of melody and guitar that just inspired me.....

--- does it say that one has to find a something in common between the melody and guitar playing?

2. I was just improvising vocal melodies over the riffs and these were the sounds that I used at the time and I weaved those sounds into words.

--- what sounds? the sounds of his improvising of vocal melodies?
