College essay need help.

Please read this essay, its for a common app prompt that I might submit to colleges for my application. My writing skills are moderate, and I really pored my hear out into this one, no bullshit. I need anyone to tell me if it is ok, or if im off track. Please I will accept all the harsh criticism that you throw at me.
Prompt:

1. Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma-anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.

I have no idea what the answer is to this problem I face. I only know what will happen to me if I never try to solve it. What is it, you ask? It's the reason why many people end up living their lives with a regret that they didn't do everything they could have done. It’s the reason why we seek comfort and security instead of adventure, adrenaline rush, and inner satisfaction. It is quite common, to be afraid of what you don't know, or listen to your heart instead of your head. Yet it is even more common to resort to a secure decision, and end up selling your life for money.
I do not have an answer to this, or an equation for happiness, only an attempted solution. It’s called inspiration. Yes, have you heard of it? It’s quite hard to come by in this day and age. In my short time on this earth, I have had a few meaningful realizations. I’ve noticed that sometimes in life, to take the first step, you need a little push, just a little smack to the ankles to get your legs moving. Or maybe a look around, to find others not only walking on their own, but sprinting to their goals. I will not waste my life like so many people before me. I will go my own way, and encourage others to go their way as well. Although I may be going for an undergraduate degree in physics, I do not plan on being a physicist. It is merely a stepping-stone to greatness. I will eventually go into conservation. I wish to make a real difference in this world, to make it possible for people to access the raw beauty of what is our home, and not have to look through old books. I look at the earth as the rawest and most original form of inspiration. Every plant and animal that graces the face of this earth is living proof that life can exist outside the office, proof that you have a choice. I will attempt to solve this shortage of inspiration and muted ambition, by any means necessary. Whether it be through conservation, art, or adventure, I will try my best to help people realize and chase their dreams. I have put my faith in you. Im asking you to put faith in me. College is only the start of my journey, but as they say: the first step is always the hardest. Help me take that first step. I promise you, I will be great.
