College essay for the American Univesity in Cairo

Their question is "How can you benefit from the education in AUC?"



If I were to paint my life, I would aim that it would be a masterpiece that people would be inspired by. It would include all the stages and metamorphosis in my life, including a very important stage, which is, university. I choose AUC not only for its remarkable reputation, but also because I am confident that it would quench my thirst for knowledge and would be a beautiful part of the canvas, for I am determined to pass every course in it with flying colors.

I believe that the competitive atmosphere in the university would push me to work harder to achieve my goal of becoming a successful Architectural Engineer. The thing I find appealing in AUC is the Liberal Arts education. I view this diversity of knowledge as tools to shine my canvas, making me a more well rounded person and giving me knowledge and joy of learning things that would definitely benefit me in the future, if not in my career then in my life in general.

Furthermore, at AUC, there is an opportunity to continue to actively participate in extracurricular activities. One of the activities that I am always careful to include as a part of my life is community service because this is what adds the value to my painting. The wide variety of extracurricular activities in AUC is what makes me surer that it is the right choice for me.
