When ordering beverages in a cafe or a restaurant, would you say "I like a cold coffee"?

No, "I would like a cold coffee", in conversation very often contracted to "I'd like ...". You could add "please" too.

Cold coffee is awful. Either iced coffee or hot coffee is served in restaurants.
