I am questioned by a media friend who said that coffee talk is not a concept of "authentic" English.Coffee TalkMay I know if "coffee talk" is not of standard English and merely a buzzword?

What is an HP, and what does it mean for something to be used on a distinctive note?

You can say "coffee talk", to be sure, but it is not a standard phrase like "shop talk", so its meaning will only be readily apparent with sufficient context. In isolation, I read it as the kind of talk people engage in over coffee or the fevered speech of someone who has had too much caffeine.

Three things: You didn't answer my questions. It's "Thanks, dude." (note the comma) It is considered disrespectful both to address a stranger as "dude" and to presume the intimacy that would allow it.
