Cockney Accent! Could anyone help?

I met these sentence in a drama:
"Can I just say strait orf the old cricket bat,
How wery excited we is to have you on this project."

He is speaking Cockney Accent. But I just dont understand the meaning of the sentence. Can anyone help?
