Coaster-tableware?

HI everyone, this is a bit of a weird one. I was wondering what you would class a drinks coaster as--tableware? kitchenware? I'm leaning towards tableware, but i always think of tableware more as plates and dishes.
A similar question for a trivet also--would you class it as tableware or kitchenware? or something else entirely!
Thanks in advance

Kitchenware is used in the kitchen during preparation; tableware is set on the table for use during the meal. It seems a no-brainer to me between the two, though I am not discounting a third term with which I am unfamiliar.
