Co-op/intern

Hi guys,

I came across the word "co-op" for a person.

Does that mean "intern"?

What is it and how is it different from "intern"?

Thanks for your help.

I don't think I've ever heard "co-op" applied to a person. It would probably help if you supplied some context.
