Cloud Atlas

Hi, Dear Members and Gurus~~

The sentence below is from the movie "Cloud Atlas".

(A) "Yesterday I believed I would never have done what I did today."
*** *** ***
How about (B) "Yesterday I believed I would never do what I did today."?

Is (B) also grammatically correct?

If so, is there any difference in meaning?

Oh, thanks, Mister Micawber!!

I forgot to login when I posted from my cell phone.

By the way, I cannot but think that "would" and "would have done" must be different in meaning to natives, however slight that may be.

Is it because you replied to an anonymous poster, that you didn't care very much to the small details?

That is never a factor in my responses! There is no difference in meaning between the 2 sentences.
