Close with/ talk to / Meet with & Meet to....

Dear Friends,

Thanks for your prompt attention all the times. Could you please tell me for the following problems? what are they "to" "by" "with" "for" etc ??? and how can one use them confidently.

Q1.
I want to talk to my brother ( why its not ... I want to talk My brother) ???

Q2.
I was almost apologizing to my two daughters for not being so close with them ( why not ... So close them) ???

Q3.
Why sometime we use meet to / meet with ???

I would be so thankful if you kindly help me in this problem. Please I would request if you recommend any book that could help me???
