Close marks

Hi,

When the semester at a university is over, the marks (grades) the students received for the courses they took that semester have to be closed before they can register for their final exams.

Would the word ‘close’ be used here? The marks get logged in to the system and no changes can be made to them after that point.

What about ‘lock down’?

“Once the marks (grades) are locked down, the teachers open up exam dates and post them online.”

Thank you.
