Vocabulary

climax of one's career?

is this expression legitimate or even correct?
Or should I definitely say "the acme of one's career" instead?
Thank you.
(and please, if you think my question is stupid, don't bother to answer, it upsets both of us!)

'Acme' is rather old-fashioned nowadays. 'Climax' is not the best choice, as it now has sexual connotations. I suggest 'the high point of one's career'.
