Cleverly

1-You solved that problem cleverly.

2-You cleverly solved that problem.

Does 1 necessarily imply that there were other, not clever, ways of solving the problem.

Does 2 mean that you were clever to be able to solve the probelm or does it mean that solving the problem was a good idea (it was clever of you to decide to solve the problem).

as for #1.. It all depends on word stress. If you said, "You solved THAT problem cleverly" it would imply that you had solved a specific problem, and you did it cleverly. Also, no, it doesn't imply that there are other ways that the problem could have been solved.
