Cleft Sentence or Noun Clause

Hello all,

Found an interesting sentence that I tried to analyze. Couldn't understand whether it is a cleft sentence or a noun.

"It was Mrs Packletide's pleasure and intention that she should shoot a tiger."

Please, help. I feel confused.

What is "it"? The whole sentence? A sentence can't be a noun.

It's a matter of extraposition, not clefting.

An extraposition is a construction
