You must clear/clear up first basic ideas/concepts before you move onto in-depth study.

I will first clear up the basic terms and then move onto the toughest one.
I tripped over the edge of the stone and fall over.
I was cornered to face the problems.
I was on board in train when you were calling so I couldn't hear you properly.
I was aboard train when you were calling so I couldn't hear you properly.
You took the chair and it's your onus to keep it away.

I mean the person took away one chair from lots of chairs to somewhere for his use, and as a responsibility, he should keep it again in the same place after his use is over.
