Hi,

Which sentence is correct ?

- The subject is clear to me. or The subject is clear for me.

Hello Kf In BrE, you would say the first version. But I wouldn't be surprised if the second version were perfectly acceptable English somewhere else. MrP

In BrE, you would say the first version.

But I wouldn't be surprised if the second version were perfectly acceptable English somewhere else.

In AmE it's "clear to me".

The first thing I think of with "clear for" is "clear for a landing" (said of airplanes)!
