clauses

In the sentence: "Although it is cold and snowing, the sun is shining "("the sun is shining"= MainClause)" is (Although it is cold and snowing) an adverb clause of concession? If the sentence was "Although it is cold and is snowing" would "is snowing" be a co-ordinate adverb clause of concession?

Also, can "every way" be a subordinating conjunction? I believe "every time" can be for an adverb clause of time. This is from the sentence "She tried (every way she knew) to get onto the team, (but it was full)."
