Clause? non-clause?

Hello!
I have some questions about English grammar.
Everyone considered him to be a genius.
In this expression, him to be a genius is a clause? or non-clause? But if it were a clause, the passive voice would be ungrammartical.

* Him to be a genius was considered by everyone.
Is there anyone who can explain about it?
And show me some another examples?
Thanks.

I'm open to correction, but I think I would parse the sentence as:

"Everyone" = subject
"considered" = verb, active voice
"him" = direc
