Hello,
I am a bit confused when to use classified and when classifieds. I am writing a small paper on the vehicle market and would like to know what to write in the following two phrases:
classified website or classifieds website
vehicle classified market or vehicle classifieds market

Classifieds is really just an informal abbreviation of classified advertisements or classified listings - in other words, advertisements or listings which are divided into classes. A website whose contents are classified could perhaps be called a classified website , although this does allow some confusion to creep in, because it could also be taken to mean that the website itself has been classified by some higher structure. It could probably better be described as a classified ads website .
