Hi,

Are those words the exact topic you teacher gave you? It's a little unusual.

Start by thinking of ways to classify them.eg by age? by height? by gender? by looks? by their clothes?

Yes, those are the exact words the teacher gave. I was thinking about classifying by groups. eg couples, families, friends. Im just not sure. I observed people downtown and this is what else I wrote in my notes: types of pedestrians observed-coffee drinkers, cell phone talk/texters, dog walkers, baby stroller pushers, pan handlers, smokers, skate boarders & window shoppers.

Im not sure how to break them down.

Hi,

All of that sounds OK.
However, it doesn't sound like an interesting essay. It just sounds like lists of numbers.

Those are the different things that I observed pedestrians doing. How should I go about catagorizing them, or what principle should I use?

Hi,

How about breaking them down into two main groups, based on their appearance and their actions?
It's your choice.
