Classic - adjective

Hi Everyone,

I would like to know if the word 'classic' in the following sentence is an adjective:

Tolstoy’s ‘War and Peace’ is a classic.

It cannot be an adjective as there is an indefinite article before it and no noun after it. It's clearly a noun. CB

Yes, I realised a little later that the 'a' makes it a noun. I'm someone who likes to get confirmation though.
