class or lesson

Could I ask two questions, please?

When somebody says "an unforgettable lesson,"
does it mean "an unforgettable class"?

Is the "lesson" in "an unforgettable lesson" the same with the "lesson" in "learn a lesson" or is it the same with "class"?

Thank you.
