Clambor

How do you all pronunce clambor?
I pronouce it clammer, but twice this morning on the radio (two different guys I think) I heard CLAMbor. With a b.

Each of them may have had a British accent.
Wait a second. There is no word clambor. There is clamber, that means to climb, using both feet and hands; climb with effort or difficulty.
He was talking about the public "clambor"ing against the economic crisis. (I'm thinking now they must have been the same guy.)

He must have mean clamor. He's all mixed up. I should stop taking the guys on the radio so seriously.
Waju all think?

Posters should say where they live, and for which
area they are asking questions. I have lived in
Western Pa. 10 years
Indianapolis 10 years
Chicago 6 years
Brooklyn, NY 12 years
Baltimore 26 years
