Claims to be / much easier

I don't understand the syntax of Guyabano claims to be is it correct to understand that - it calimed to me that Guyabano to be much....?

With easier on a caner it's like there is a missing word, maybe they reffer to to a kind of treatment?

Just as a missile has a set target, the combination of the tree's leaves, bark or fruit is believed to target only cancer cells. Guyabano claims to be much easier on a cancer patient than chemotherapy. it does not have the side-effects of chemotherap
