Claiming to be God’s representatives on earth, the caricatures caused pangs of terror...

Hi

Please look at these lines and edit them where necessary. I am not sure of the underlined parts.

[caricatures = religious extremists/fundamentalists]

Claiming to be God’s representatives on earth, the caricatures caused pangs of terror and agony and took away the right from the people to even breathe. Disguised in what they believed holy, the caricatures made life dehumanizing beyond belief and thus became a permanent blot on the world’s beautiful landscape.

Thanks,

Tom
