City of life and death

"Nanjing, Nanjing!", with the english name "City of life and death", is a film directored by Luchuan. The story takes the Nanjing Massacre in 1937 as the background, revealing the destruction of war on humanity.
There are two clues to the film. One is that the experience of an ordinary Japanese soldier, and the another is the experience of a Chinese soldier.
The story started from December of 1937, when the Nanjing City was broken. Despite a large number of KMT soldiers fled the city, there ware still a large number of soldiers unwilling to surrender to stay in the city's streets and launched a fierce, hopeless resistance......
