Citation in in-class exams

Hi,

I am going to take an in-class exam. I am expecting the questions, so I want to memorize some quotations.

I am confused about how I should cite them; it would be difficult to write a work-cited page in an in-class exam.

Is the work-cited page necessary?
Is the in-text citation enough?

I can't ask my instructor.

Thanks

I think there is something wrong in a situation where a student can't ask an instructor about something as important as this seems to be. Perhaps another student from the class could help you out. In any reference to another published work, the author's name and at least the general idea of the title are helpful.

  • Any requirement of a page number seems unreasonable.
