Chinese Cinderella tells us a very easy story—how does Jun-ling grow up at that time in that family.

There is no denying that Jun-ling is the most particular member in the family, because both of step children and stepmother did not like her.

Expect Jun-ling, there are many different roles appeared in this story, and everyone has their own value.

Niang is the most evil people in the story, for she did many bad things like hitting Third Brother’s face, did not give the money to the step children for their traffic, let the Big Sister marry with an old men and left Jun-ling in Tianjing for a very long time, but there is no doubt that Niang is also the most important role in this story. Everything she did can decide the development of next plot. That is the reason why the stepmother is main role in the story.

Father is another important role in this story. There are many readers who think that father is still an evil people, but I do not agree with that. Father was busy everyday at that time and he did not have the enough time to care about the small things happening in the family. He needs to work and earn money for everyone in this family. He believed his wife very much, however, there is nothing wrong about it. He just did not know how evil his wife was. If he knew that, he would protect his own children at the first time, because all fathers love their children. Sometimes, everything he listened to the stepmother, but it does not mean he did not have his own idea; he just wants to keep the peace of the family.

In the early chapter, Aunt Baba is the only one who cared and loved Jun-ling with a kind heart; she was looking at Jun-ling as her own daughter. Jun-ling is also like Aunt Baba the most—she only wrote the letter to Aunt Baba when she was alone in Tianjing.

The reason why the big sister and other step children also hate Jun-ling is that they think Jun-ling’s birth leading to the death of their own mother. If their own mother did not die, the stepmother would never come into their family. They think Jun-ling bringing the stepmother to them, and she is the beginning of their unlucky life.
