It has no unit. It is the unit. A pack = 20 cigarettes. A carton = 10 packs.

Philip too.As well as another not-so-nice-sounding word: fxxs.
The xx makes it look obscene. The word *** is a completely natural and normal BrE word with a variety of meanings.
