Is this your sentence?

Can you say what you mean by "chronicled in her writings"?

Could it mean that it's easy to understand that she was a mass of contradictionsby reading her writing? Emotion: thinking

Hi guys,

Without commenting on the whole sentence in question, I want to point out that 'to chronicle' is a verb meaning 'to record events in the order that they happen'. It's also a noun, of course, for the written result of the activity.

Best wishes, Clive

Yes, I know that 'to chronicle' is a verb too. I mean that if you read her novels you realise that she was a mass of contradictions. I don't understand why I shouldn't use 'chronicled' as a verb?

I kept trying to turn this into a snippy Algonquin-round-table type remark: "She was a mass of contradictions, many of which are chronicled in her writing." In other words, she's a lousy writer (her writing is full of contradictions), as well as a mess personally

Is this sentence better?

She was a mass of contradictions, many of which were recorded in her writing.
