Christmass holiday

Hi everybody!

If you have two weeks' holiday for Christmas and you want to talk about the last day of this holiday, how would you put it?

The last day of my Crhistmas holiday?

Would you rather phrase it differently?

Thanks.

Hi, If you have two weeks' holiday for Christmas and you want to talk about the last day of this holiday, how would you put it? The last day of my Crhistmas holiday? Sounds OK.

  • Sounds OK.
  • But in Canada, we tend to use the word 'holidays' for public holidays , on which no-one works.
  • For my personal time off work, I'd use the word 'vacation'.

Thanks, Clive,
I think vacation is never used in Europe, but I think holidays is in fact used more often than holiday, either for personal time off or for public holidays.

I'll go with The last day of my Crhistmas holidays

Thankyou
