1) Shut the door. The heat is going/leaking/running away! ( I want to express that we are losing a lot of heat when the doors are opened, which phrasal verb to use? )
2) None of my friends smoke/smokes. ( singular or plural? )
3) Susan talked back/retorted in an angry way. ( can I use both?)
4) John tripped/stumbled over a log and bashed on the ground. ( is "bashed" suitable here? )
5) I continued/proceeded/went on to say what caused the accident.
Thank you in advance!
