Choose/Pick your poison.

0 Does this mean "Choose any of these even if they all may be undesirable to you"? Can one use this the same way as "Name your poison", asking what kind of drink the other person wants to have? 02br

0I myself have never heard the 'pick' version. I suppose that one could substitute a few other verbs: pick your poison, choose your poison, select your poison. For me, nothing rings true except the classic frontier bartender's welcome: 'Name yer p'ison, stranger!' 0-
