Choose what the boy suggested the girl to do.

Choose what the boy suggested the girl to do.

I have seen the sentence in a textbook but I think that to should be omitted like
'Choose what the boy suggested the girl do.'

Or the first sentence is okay to use? What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual in advance!

"suggested the girl do" and "suggested the girl should do" are OK. (The latter may be more common in BrE than AmE.)
