Choose the correct conj

Hello

Which conj is correct here:

- The man stopped his bicycle beside the car (and/as/or) the bicycle had a broken chain.

- The tennis match was almost finished (yet/and/because) the score was 40 all.

I think answers are "as,because".

right?

Thanks

Hi, Which conj is correct here: - The man stopped his bicycle beside the car (and/as/or) the bicycle had a broken chain. I'm sure the expected answer is 'as'. However, I wouldn't say 'and' is wrong.
