If you please I need the answer. Aren't friendly,fat,slim suitable here? It's a choose question so I have to choose just one answer. What will it be ?

I would like to see the exact wording of the instructions. If the instructions imply that only one answer is correct English then it is a faulty question.

Probably you are supposed to choose the word that collocates most frequently with "short". If you don't know which word this, and you cannot guess, then you could use the Google 'Ngrams' tool to graph the frequencies with which the comb

Well, just use a process of elimination.

1) fat and slim are opposites. So either one is equally likely. You can cross these out, if there is no other information (like a picture) of the boy.

2) "old" and "boy" really don't go together. You can have an old man, a young boy, or a young man. But an old boy would just be a man. Note that Americans have the expression: "He's a goo

The question says choose the correct answer and the lesson on this exercise was talking about the order of the adjectives. Is there any word among these words relate to this? If not then it is a faulty question as you said. The word that collocates most with short is fat. Thanks for help.
