Can I say,

(a) The choir sing / sings on the stage every week.

(b) The choir is / are singing.

(c) A choir of musician is /are singing.

(d) A choir of singers is / are singing.

I would use the singular.

C and D are redundant. A choir, by definition, are people whose instruments are their voices. You don't need to say "A choir of musicians" or "A choir of singers."
