Two days ago, my non-native English speaking friends talked about the fact that some of them enrolled their children in private schools and others put them in public schools. One of those children likes to go to public school for the following primary reason.
(ex) She said, "If I go to private school, I have to wear a uniform. I prefer my choice of fashion which gives me comfort and highlights my special qualities."
My friend repeated his daughter's words. My other friends think the words, which I have highlighted in green, sound awkward. I think the grammar is OK. Because I am not native English-speaking, I cannot say for sure the second sentence is grammatically correct. It sounds good to my non-native English ear. Please give me your opinion. Thank you very much for your help.
