Chinese name

I have a Chinese friend, her name is Qin. I want to ask this question, "when your name in Chinese letters, is it still read as Qin? In other words, is Qin read for your Chinese name?"

Chinese has no letters. It has characters. In all likelihood "Qin" is represented by one Chinese character.

"Qin" is just the Western spelling of the sounds the Chinese say when they read the Qin character out loud.
