Chilling

Hi,

Your help would be appreciated. What does "I'm chilling" mean in the following context? A has been walking around town, enjoying the fresh scent of early spring air.

A: Yo, aren't you rushing the barbecue season just a bit?

B: No way! There's a nip in the air, but I'm chilling by grilling ground chuck.

Thanks.

Could you, then, say, "That's chilling," for, "That's cool," or, "That's awesome"?

Should it be Chill' with the capital letter C?

I would think that "I'm chilling" would mean something like "I am relaxing" or "I am taking it easy".
