Grammar

child or children

Hi,

I am wondering if I should say child or children in my presentation.

This is about parenting style in school. Here are some sentences I wrote. If you could tell me which one to use that would be great.

1. Some parents make no demands of their child; they are indifferent, dismissive to their child.

2. Some parents are selfish and apathetic to their child.

3. Some parents show little emotional involvement with their child.

4. Some parents have lack of understanding as to how their involvement affects their child.

Thanks,
