Vocabulary

(chess)countermove

Hi.

Any difference between

"You should calculate every possible move and countermove"

and

"You should calculate every possible move and its answer"?

Thanks in advance

Not substantial. I'd choose between one or the other with an eye to avoiding repetition in context, but as a stand-alone sentence, either one should be perfectly clear.
