Cheese and dried beef!

Hi everybody...I need someone's help as a gift for my birthday! Could anyone explain with other words the following:

"Cheese exalts; dried beef has its pinions. The music I make shall sweep and soar by their aid"

I have particularly troubles with has its pinions. Thank youEmotion: smile

you must be reading something very strange! Perhaps pinions is short for opinions?

If you don't understand I think I'm in trouble

Maybe is short for opinions...anyway in my dictionary I found "pinion" as "bird's feather"...what do you think if I explain it: cheese exalts and dried beef make it fly? Maybe who said this wanted to mean "when I eat cheese and beef I compose a good music with their aid"....what is your opinion?

...yes I read weird things

Still a very bizarre sentence. The only connection between the two sides I can think of is that it is an old wives tale that eating cheese in the evening gives you mad/bad dreams. But I don't know about beef having an effect?
