cheeky little number - meaning

Hi guys,

could anyone give me the explanation of this phrase?

I know it has something to do with drinks and stuff, however, it is the actual meaning of this phrase I'm interested in.
What does it say in meaning?

(I was told that it's something like "a little thing causing big trouble". Is that right?)

Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

Hi, You really need to look at this phrase in the context of a sentence. eg She's a cheeky little number . A slang way a mann may refer to a somewhat provocative girl.

Hmmm. I see "cheeky" as impudent, insolent, sassy, "in-your-face", bold, brazen. Nothing to do with drinks or drinking.

Thank you Clive.

I can see the point now. I'm still wondering, though, what would it mean in this situation:
It's from british sitcom Bottom and a man says this after having a sip of his home brew.
(it must be really strong, because he also said about it that:
it's taking the enamel

Cheeky little number basically means a nice drink. I.e. This wine is a cheeky little number. My boyfriend says it all the time!
