The survey was conducted from 7/2016 to 5/2017 at Tan Ho Co and Tan Cong Chi commune, Tan Hong district, Dong Thap province. The control treatment with the diet of grass (ad libitum) and concentrate (0,5% beef's live weight) was compared with the treatment that was added straw fermented with 3% urea and the treatment with the addition of straw fermented with 5% urea in order to observe the growth performance of 27 beefs which ranged from 12 - 16 months and the average live weight of thoes beef were from 100 kg to 150 kg.
Results of this study showed that adding straw fermented with 3-5% urea in diet would decrease the grass intake. Growth performance and feed conversion rate were better than the control.
