In some countries, many more people are choosing to live alone nowadays than in the past. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

In recent years, there are many people deciding to live alone than in the previous time, especially in the developed cities. In my point of view, this trend has both positive and negative effects on their daily life.

As staying in one-person households, they will have more favorable emotion as well as the certain dependence in their life. Staying alone means that they will not have to consider about angry arguments with roommates or family members when they don’t share their personal opinions. Moreover, the lonely-living people tend to be more independent than others living with families because they need to contrive to deal with house fee, electric and water monthly bills. Therefore, their thinking and reaction to urgent case will be likely more prompt and sensible than the others.

On the other hands, living alone can be the bad reason causing the pessimistic and even dangerous feelings. In the modern life, people often face with a lot of stressful problems on each day, which can cause the extremely serious disease called depression. Therefore, they often need someone listening and encouraging them at the end of the day. However, people living alone will not have many more chances to share their thinking and not be given the taking care from the beloved ones.

In conclusion, the trend has the both positive and negative side. If people can control their feeling, living alone can create the incredibly effective impacts on our lifestyle.
