Checked for feet under the stalls/stall doors

I entered the restroom and checked for feet under the stalls/stall doors before I started to change.

I did a search on Google which showed that "checked for feet under the stalls" had way more hits than "checked for feet under the stall doors."

The latter seems more logic to me. What would you go with?

But it's not. One's feet are not typically under the doors of the stalls. They are inside the stall, not partially hanging out of the stall under the door.
