Dear Sir or Madam,I am writing to express my interest in applying for a PhD degree program in Mechanical Engineering at your university.Due to limited administration of GRE test in Iran which is going to be performed on March; Therefore, I will loose the deadline for applying, I want to know whether it is possible to send my documents (such as CV, TOEFL exam result and etc) without having any GRE test result for department or professors?I greatly appreciate your time and kind consideration of my Request.i wanna send it to a university i want to know your ideas and is it useful to send or not? and if it has mistakes plz help me to solve it

* - another alternative is a graduate degree program;
** - can supposedly be omitted, as universities have a predetermined set of entrance documents, and you need to be laconic and informative;
*** - in your post it is department or professors, but, as far as I'm concerned, the part of the university which deals with matters like yours is called the office of graduate admissions.

2. You ask about the expediency of sending this request, and any answer would not be completely reliable, since it depends on many factors, such as a type of university and its admission policy. In any event, asking for additional information is never useless, so you may well have a stab at it. You may also ask whether they could make an exception in terms of deadline for you, as such cases are also frequent. The importance of GRE score can range from being a mere admission policy to an important selection factor, which means that you can succeed.
